Xcelerate is hiring a Communications Coordinator!
Our talented Communications Coordinator, Jennifer Bolanos, will be leaving Xcelerate at the end of March to return to small business ownership. Jen first joined our team in December 2023 as P/T Admin Coordinator and quickly made an impact. Over the last 2+ years she has produced our Quarterly Event Series, grown our online community, elevated the caliber of our creative, and deepened our community partnerships, all while developing an authentic, caring, and community-centered brand voice across our communications platforms. We are so very grateful for her kindness, attention to detail, and keen understanding of women’s lived entrepreneurial experiences. You will be missed, Jen!
Xcelerate Women is seeking a community-minded individual to fill the role of Communications Coordinator (Bilingual). This is an hourly position of 24–32 hours per week with the possibility of expanding to full-time. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Communications Coordinator (Bilingual) will lead Xcelerate’s digital and in-person community engagement initiatives, including social media, email marketing, and events, with a goal of deepening connection and belonging for Xcelerate community members, owners, coaches, and annual partners.

Level: Mid-Level Administrative
Commitment: Non-Exempt Hourly Position, 24-32 hours per week.
Expected Start Date: May 1, 2026
Work Environment: Hybrid: In person Monday and Tuesday in our NE Portland office. Weds thru Friday remote.

The ideal candidate is a Spanish-speaking, compassionate, empathetic, energetic, and detail-oriented Communications Coordinator (Bilingual) who is excited about our mission of empowering women business owners. Attributes that will lead to success in this position include an enthusiastic approach to getting daily tasks completed, the emotional intelligence to relate to many types of human experiences, flexibility, multi-cultural competency, and a mindset of optimism and abundance. A passion for small business, entrepreneurship, gender equality and/or inclusive economic development issues are added strengths.
